ERS Nurburgring Nordschleife What is there not to like about the <Endurance Racing Series> dates for 2016. This has to tick just about every box there is for an endurance racer. OK, I'll grant you that a 24 hour race is the one thing the ERS haven't managed to organise (yet!).
The 2016 ERS season is over 5 races this year with one finishing at dusk and the last of the year at Snetterton finishing in the dark. In October we are off to the infamous Nurburgring Nordschleife (another one off my bucket list) and a trip to Anglesey in May is most welcome after so many years away.
All of the race weekends will feature a suitable length qualifying and additional free practice period with qualifying and racing happening all on one day. The full details are on the <ERS Web Site> and the dates are also in the Picturesports race calendar.
David Hornsey, the person behind the ERS has done a great job of highlighting the best weekends on the Endurance Racers Calendar. With there being only so many weekends to choose from, two or more endurance events were always going to be on the same weekend at sometime in the year, but to have three of the five rounds on "empty" weekends, especially at the very popular Nordschleife is a master piece of planning.
For those of you going to the Autosport Show between 14th and the 17th January, there is even a discount on registration.
To quote a sidecar race team owner I know ... "Oh Yes, Oh Yes"
