After 9 months, I have finally got around to framing the print of Bruce Anstey I took at the Isle of Man TT races last year (2015).
I'm told that Bruce doesn't give many interviews preferring to race rather than be a media star.
Having spent a little time with him over those two weeks, it isn't false modesty or a crafted persona, it is just "Bruce". Describing his ideal day (when racing) he commented, "Fall out of bed in to my leathers, get on the bike and go". Not, go like hell, thrash or any other unnecessary adjectives, just the normal, almost low key Bruce, for whom going 160 mph on closed public roads is a normal day at the office.
The framed photos of John McGuiness and Dave Molyneux with Benjamin Binns are also ready to go to their respective new homes. Bruce however is on the office wall.
